Leah Sanginiti (she/her) is an international performer, director, and multimedia artist for all ages whose work has reached millions of viewers and audience members across the globe. Outside of traditional theatre, she specializes in script development and devised storytelling with youth and non-theatre practitioners, and her original works and workshops have been produced throughout the United States and Asia. She currently partners with Berkeley Repertory Theatre and Alternative Theater Ensemble to train educators and community members in belonging and consent-affirming strategies in theatre, art, and everyday life.
As a performer, Leah has worked with theatres around the U.S., including Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Davis Shakespeare Festival, and Golden Thread Productions, and has toured globally with Bay Area Children’s Theatre and Bri Reads. Her recent immersive theatre and art installation project, When They Ask If We Were Real, explores transcultural and intergenerational stories of resistance from Indonesia, Taiwan, Bulgaria, and the U.S., and premiered at Marin Theatre in February 2026.
Through 2028, Leah will be completing her Masters in Applied Theatre through the European Union’s Theatre SPACEs Erasmus Mundus Joint Master program at Trinity College Dublin, University of Arts Târgu-Mures, Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, Western Norway University of Applied Sciences, and Universität Hamburg.
